1. How to Enter

1.1          Finalists starting a conclusion will be nominated by Australia Brazil Business Council Board members taking in consideration achievements and community engagement during 2018

1.2         All finalists example of an informative speech will be notified via phone or email

1.3          Australia Brazil Business Council reserves the right to alter or change these Terms and Conditions at any time at its discretion.

1.4          Finalists can refuse the nomination by advising 1300 AUBRBC or gala2018@aubrbc.org

2.1       The AUBRBC Recognition Awards comprise of the following categories:

2.1.1        Company awards categories

2.1.2       Business of the year;

2.1.3      Excellence in Education;

2.1.4      Excellence in Small Business;

2.1.5       Excellence in Export;

2.1.6       Excellence in Innovation;

2.1.7       Excellence in Capital;

2.1.8       Excellence in Social Enterprise;

2.1.9     Start-Up Superstar;

2.2.1.       People Awards

2.2.2.       Australia Advocate of the year;

2.2.3.       Business Leader of the year;

2.2.4.       Employee of the year;

2.2.5.       Young entrepreneur of the year;

  1. Entry Eligibility

3.1          All businesses must hold a current Australian Business Number (ABN) for businesses registered in Australia or National Company Registration (CNPJ) for businesses registered in Brazil. This clause 3.1 does not apply to individual entrants into the people award categories of Australia Advocate of the year, Business Leader of the year, Employee of the year and Young Entrepreneur.

3.2          Entry into the AUBRBC Recognition Awards is not open to Board Members of the Australia Brazil Business Council or any of members of the Judging Panel.

3.3          The Australia Brazil Business Council reserves the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual or business entry who the Australia Brazil Business Council  has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, or engaged in any unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or other improper misconduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the AUBRBC Awards or otherwise bring the AUBRBC Recognition Awards into disrepute or damage the goodwill or reputation of the Australia Brazil Business Council.

  1. Opening Dates

4.1           The opening date is determined October 3rd, 2018.

4.2          Australia Brazil Business Council reserves the right to extend or vary the entry period if required, before or after the AUBRBC Recognition Awards entry period commences.

  1. Closing Dates

5.1          The closing date is determined November 9th, 2018 Refer to the Key Award Dates page on the website for entry closing dates.

5.2          Australia Brazil Business Council reserves the right to extend or vary the entry period if required, before or after the AUBRBC Awards entry period commences.

5.3          Winner will be announced at the Gala Dinner & Awards held at Westin Hotel Sydney on Tuesday, November 20th.

5.4          Finalists are invited to attend the event and purchase tickets at the event page. Tickets are limited and cost AUD 150-AUD 175 per person.

5.5      Finalists are asked to communicate Australia Brazil Business Council via email if they will attend the event.

  1. Judging

7.1          8 categories – Excellence in Export, Excellence in Innovation, Excellence in Capital, Excellence in Social Enterprise, Star-up Superstar; Business Leader of the year, Employee of the year and Young Entrepreneur of the year – are judged by a panel of subject matter experts, selected by Australia Brazil Business Council from business and community leaders. These judges may be drawn from current members of the Australia Brazil Business Council or any of its related or controlled entities.

7.2           Judges will allocate scores to each question asked, and these scores will be multiplied by a weighting to reach an overall score for each finalist.

7.3          There will only be one winner per category

7.4          The Judging Panel’s decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.

7.5      A representative of the Australia Brazil Business Council or the Judging Panel may contact any entrant via telephone or email for further information or to verify nomination prior to selecting the final preferred winner.

7.6      4 categories will be open for public vote – Business of the year, Excellence in Education; Excellence in Small Business; Australia Advocate of the year – and finalists are invited to ask for votes via email or social media.

7.7      Entry and close dates apply for judging categories and public vote categories.

7.8      Public vote will be online via website www.aubrbc/events/2018-gala-dinner/

7.9      Each person is only allowed to vote once and an email address is required.

  1. Announcingthe finalists and winner

8.1      All Finalists will be notified by phone and email, and published on the AUBRBC Recognition Awards Website.

8.2      Winner will be announced at the Gala Dinner & Awards held at Westin Hotel Sydney on Tuesday, November 20th, winners will be notified and awarded their trophy in person.

8.3      Winner will receive a personalized trophy

8.4      It is requested by the Australia Brazil Business Council, Winners agree to participate in media requests, social media and other publicity requests conducted by and for use by the Australia Brazil Business Council and any of their related or controlled entities. There will be no fee payable, remuneration or other direct financial benefit to be received by the Winners (other than the marketing opportunity) as a result of the winners’ participation in these activities.
